We've decided to run a series called "Tips" which will feature tips on how to interact with and use the CleftWorld website. So, without further ado, here's the first one:
At present we have one gallery running which features 'before and after' photos - you know, before and after the cleft lip and cleft palate operations. It's amazing to be able to see what modern medicine and surgical techniques can achieve these days - it's very inspirational and will give hope to others who have yet to face similar operations. So please add yours.
Photos can be added via the Photo item located in the right-hand sidebar. Each photo has to be uploaded separately and requires a title and a description. Please note, that there is a file limitation on image sizes. If you do not know how to resize your image to meet CW's requirements you might want to check out this site first - it will allow you to resize your images with a minimum of hassle and no computer experience beyond being able to navigate a website... and it's free.
Obviously the title and description for each photo are very important so you might want to come up with something before uploading your image but don't worry, if you're not happy with the way it reads you can always go back and change it later.
Finally, you should know that it's possible to leave comments for photos - go ahead and make someone happy by posting something kind.
That's it, you're all set to add to the CW gallery. Either follow the link in the right-hand sidebar or click here. Oh, I almost forgot, you'll notice that the latest image is always featured in the right-hand sidebar.
Enjoy!
